NATURE SAYING A WARM HELLO
It’s been a busy and exciting month at both of the Crossing Lodges! Each morning is greeted with a warm hello from the African sun and bush as we welcome the new day. The picturesque views of the Welgevonden Game Reserve has been truly magnificent with the vibrant colours reflecting off the bush and nearby water. You’ll notice the summer season came with an abundance of moisture, causing the grass to grow tall and the trees to grow thick with luscious green leaves, providing a food source for wildlife – this has made Game sightings that much more frequent near the lodges.
The sweeping views of the rugged bushveld has shown us that there’s many hidden treasures amongst the tranquil ravines, vast plains and fauna and flora. This pure sanctuary of biodiversity and natural water has made every moment in this area truly magical.

GRAND OPENING OF ELEPHANTS CROSSING
We are so excited to announce the official opening of Elephants Crossing this month!
The fully solar powered lodge is fitted with a cinematic deck boasting a fireplace that overlooks the waterhole with roaming wildlife. All rooms have a private splash pools where guests can enjoy their favourite glass of wine or cocktail beverage whilst soaking up the magnificent views.
WILDLIFE UPDATE
We were blessed with Game sightings this month, a highlight was a herd of Elephants passing Elephants Crossing looking for some food, they were in perfect view for a group photo! We also spotted a Vervet Monkey snacking on a mealie.
At Zebras Crossing, we spotted a group of giraffes snacking on some trees while we were out on a Game Drive with guests.
